Dr. Lori Cooper
She is the cofounder of 6035 Group, a leadership consultant, coach, and facilitator dedicated to supporting leaders and strengthening their impact. She believes this is one of the most demanding times to be a leader—and that belief drives her work. Leaders must navigate competing expectations, make difficult decisions, develop others, and deliver results amid uncertainty. Dr. Cooper recognizes that behind these responsibilities is a person who needs space to think, gain perspective, and grow. She believes good people should not have to
lose themselves in the work of becoming good leaders.
Dr. Cooper combines support with honest reflection, helping leaders acknowledge challenges while taking responsibility for their impact. Two questions guide her work: What is this role asking of the leader, and what is it like to be on the other side of that person’s leadership? Through coaching, leadership assessments, facilitated learning, and team development, she helps clients recognize strengths, examine patterns, and turn insight into intentional action. Her work emphasizes self-awareness, clear communication, developing others, and meaningful accountability. Rather than prescribing one leadership style, she helps clients build practices that reflect their values and respond to their circumstances. For her, “Elevating Every Leader” means supporting the person, strengthening the practice, and keeping the people they lead in view.
Dr. Walt Cooper
As one of Colorado’s longest-serving superintendents with over three decades of executive leadership, Dr. Cooper now leverages his deep experience to empower district leaders and school boards in transformative governance. He specializes in equipping superintendents and Boards of Education with proven tools to design meaningful change and drive sustained excellence. He works side-by-side with school and district leaders to develop data-driven, actionable strategic plans that tie resources to local
effective, collaborative partnerships between boards and superintendents, Dr. Cooper ensures that every solution supports district values and builds a foundation of mutual trust.
His expertise spans critical aspects of district management—including financial strategy and targeted board member training—guiding teams in designing responsible budgeting practices and growth-minded governance tailored to district objectives. Recognizing that leadership and community needs vary widely, Dr. Cooper adapts his support and training to every district’s context, helping boards evolve into high-performing teams that foster transparency, community engagement, and educational excellence. Walt is also a national superintendent search consultant for McPherson & Jacobson, LLC, where he helps districts select leaders who are a true fit for their unique aspirations.
